I stopped dreaming. Sometimes I am worth less than the cats. That's ok. I'd like to buy back some of that time. Maybe some snacks. No ice left in the icebox. Perfect little bluebird wing  in the grass, devastated.  Have you considered changing your name or tune? You beautiful buffoon. Have you considered tearing your face  clean off. Every time we enter the ravine it is different and so are we. And so the ravine enters us. Something raided the geese nest. A mash of feathers and silence. Egg shells. Even the frogs are numb. The mother  so calm on the water. The following day, gone. I don't want self respect. I want to be ruined by chance.
